Written as a poetry challenge for Blackbird’s MySpace blog which showed a foto of a hollow-cheeked man sitting on a city sidewalk with his hat out asking for help. Great foto, lousy situation; from the style of the dresses and hat, I’d say the foto’s from the 1930s. (foto just above).
