Love your thoughts and commentary here...

to me it seems just from what I'd heard Smith share about his past and some things he has related as they pertain in the book that he's written he has lived a full and interesting life... sometimes filled with danger, drugs, success and failures- and my not having known him except here in the present- seeing the later, finely sculpted version of Smith... grown up, matured, artistic, creative and a damn fine human being.

The story seems to tells me a lot about the resiliency of human spirit, about personal drive, about goodness and how even if we make mistakes we can carve a place out for it in our lives. I guess that's why in the time I've come to know both of you.. that I've come to have such great admiration for both of you... seeing the long story of where one can be and where one can end up... and how good that can actually be.. even with all the excitement in between.

So I'm looking forward to reading the finer details of Steve's life... and lifetime explorations..
