Before I Die: Make Your mark

Thursday we stopped by the *Make Your Mark: Before I Die* community art happening hosted by poet/teachers Sara Holbrook and Michael Salinger. They made ten 8 foot by 4 foot panels with Magic Marker pockets so neighborhood passers-by could stop and write what they wished to do before they died. Some of the comments are touching, a few funny, some sad.

Excellent project.

   I really really really love this project. It needs to go on the road… to pop up in other neighborhoods and libraries and at fairs and events.

   And WalMart Crapyard Commons and Crocker Parks. That’d be an interesting social experiment to see the differences (or similarities)in the posts, now wouldn’t it?
