Thoughts Before the Sun

Deep liquid dark.
Caffeine coursing through my wet.
Light it bring to me.

Let us lattice.
Ain’t no free lunch to give away,
just a bunch of fee.

Karma curves around in end
to cover sloppy seconds,
juicy fruits.

Each day a cavatina,
no second strain or repetition,
yet echo of the same.

In this pre-dawn womb
of dark and safe and caffeine quiet,
bulk of day is born.

My song I sing the same,
to get through day
unspreading pressing pain.

May the sky of sun be blue,
may the flowers flower
and love be true.
