Supple Simon Sez
Lot of shallow in my deep
many a crocodile do I weep
Tons of sheep within my sham
too much ain’t in my am
I fake sincere with best of them
obscure my grim in rictus grin
Bite my lip to hide sharp tooth
pretend paid news not corporate abuse
I’m all smiles, and good, and dear
there is no nasty lurking near
It’s Santa and soon and truth fairy fly
as the Great Pumpkin rises to sky
Yet in spite, and maybe because
we have kindness in our 2-people pod
There’s she and me and the be between
with Mr. Rogers our hero king
Our corner is cleaned and lighted well
making space for more gentle swell
Ain’t no taint of right and wrong
but should and could for lighter song
We shed old groan for gentler tone
our mutual magic muting moan
So clean your corner, make amend,
have chairs about to sit a friend
Be safe haven in stormy lie
calm of port for weary why
For as supple Simon sez
this is but was on way to when
