I can make the black cat purr
the wife smile
I have skills

Pre-dawn car lights
crossing fog-shrouded bridge
from nought to naught

If all is illusion
why do we work
and pay rent?

How many baby foreskins
in your face cream
rich woman?

~ ~ ~

Just awoke
already worn by weary
is it bedtime yet?

There’s car racists,
horse racists, dog racists…
but of them all, I prefer the snail racists

Taking yesterday’s bath
for today’s dirt

Role role role your boat
gently down the scream

~ ~ ~

Belly filled
and shelter warm
what a lovely lick of luck

~ ~ ~

I good monkey
peel my banana
pick up own poop

Sun on closed eyelids
forget-me-nots at feet
