She puts out an issue each season, and holds a Solstice/Equinox reading at the MetroPark’s Canalway Center, 4524 East 49th Street Cleveland as well. This Sunday’s 1pm – 3pm reading will be her 7th consecutive gathering there. Since it’s going to be cold, the reading will be inside the Nature Center — when it’s nice, we gather out on the Blue Heron Boardwalk.

Here’s the FaceBook event page: Spring Equinox City Poetry Reading at the Canalway Center, Cleveland.

Song of the Curtain

Symbols clash in small waters
a tall order for furthering scan

Copper’s corrode brings a new beauty
textures the surface with waver of age

Silk kisses the hiss of the body
slithering thin over sin of the skin

An attic of static though far from certain
opens the curtain revealing the stage

Notes drop like water in basket
leaking lovely all over the place

From that point we all are audience
flapping ears searching for grace
