GRANDMA GODDESS
Grandma Goddess at de facto baptisms
holding chubby new baby beings
up in her arms for examination,
drawing them close
Parents bring wee ones to her
somehow knowing she’s a
wise woman
She loves them so much
she can gobble them up,
she says
Like a law of physics,
like water finds its way,
Grandma’s blood desire
is to give love
Automatic high fidelity
She reaches
outside the circle of herself
to shine love on us,
invests in us
She lets her circle
be tendered
by Reality’s loft
