A Real Letter from Me to You
I attended a moveon.org meeting last weekend about the “American Dream” movement they are building. Although associated with Democrats, I think this movement also encompasses progressive ideals. Everyone in the room was concerned about sustainability, the environment, peace, universal health care, good work, etc. Several people were very discouraged with some of the things President Obama has done, so there was a lot of conscientiousness and self-examination in the room.

They are trying to raise taxes on us and cut taxes on the rich, and cut Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. But we aren’t going to let them.
For young people reading this, these things might seem like things that don’t immediately matter or that it is useless, but they do, and there is hope that we can change things. I’ve seen the standard of living deteriorate and expectations deteriorate significantly over the past ten years. It is not unreasonable to see this turn around and become healthier. We have the resources and talent to turn things around. I had the pleasure of seeing a Democrat in Wisconsin get reelected last night after having made phone calls to do this; I’ve seen us raise over a million signatures for putting Ohio’s anti-collective bargaining SB-5 bill on the ballot so we can overturn it when we only needed to raise 230,000… I have been involved in these campaigns and it does help and it does matter.
One of the action items of last week’s meeting moveon.org is to find five friends who will also participate in the movement to a small or large extent. As we are in such a time of flux, I think this is an important opportunity for people to engage and thus am providing this information with the thought that you’ll consider this and participate if you can. I understand that we live in a fast-paced society, but I think in this time of flux it is especially important to help ensure programs like Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
I think also we’d seen a kind of deterioration in community life over the past twenty years, and now people are rebuilding community with local food movements, poetry, music… and activism is another way to rebuild and heal and socialize. I think that many have felt apathetic, estranged and horrified by the insanity of some of the stuff going on in the political realm. A way through this is to step into it and be part of healing via activism.

Data has been coming in to me today. It has been hard to handle.
At some point today, I whimsically wondered if Christ is an antenna. And if the cross is an antenna. And if the sun is an antenna.
Brother’s radio comes on, plays “All we are is dust in the wind.”
My ipod song immediately plays, “5546,5 – Suddenly there’s a valley plays”
I immediately google 5546,5, wondering what it could refer to, and find “Helicoil 5546-5 M5 x 0.8 Metric Coarse Thread Repair Kit”; this seems to allude to a “helical antenna.” I find it very intriguing, especially since I had just wondered about the sun being an antenna.
I write a note, “How would aliens communicate with us? Or God? Could a sun be an amplifier of a signal?”
I do some more chatty stuff with googling and the radio, debate solipsism with it, etc. I feel more and more compelled to tell people about the antenna and the song.
Other things come up intimating that I am an incarnation of Christ or that there is nothing other than me, although I am having difficulty accepting this perception and am skeptical of it as an incomplete understanding of a situation. Christ is an antenna and “me” is a rough thing to delineate.
I am convinced that I need to write. Am agitated, because I feel that I have a responsibility to be working as well. But it seems that the communication stream is very insistent upon me writing.
I write a long narrative (I’ll attach a link to it later) and the songs seem to get very angry at me.
Mom comes in, was out. She said, “You wouldn’t believe the things that happened to me today, a weird string of coincidences.”
I tell her about my stuff in a roundabout way, about the struggle with feeling compelled to write a narrative, yet feeling very torn and tired with it all.
Our Internet connection won’t let me do any work. I check connection again by trying to go to Facebook, and find this entry as the first entry on 2:58 p.m:

Christchurch in New Zealand article–the first time I come across it. I guess it happened last night? I don’t know. I haven’t been watching the news. “Rescuers have had to amputate limbs to free survivors from collapsed buildings in earthquake-hit Christchurch, police said this morning, estimating 100 people remained trapped in the rubble.”

This is an ominous post, I know–I’ve been going through this mystical experience and am hoping to write more about it.
I was hoping that we could actually think our way through to a better possibility, and make some radical changes to our way of life to be better citizens of this big ball of information, this “ness” that we’re in. But some of the this seems to be coming to me as a mandate from this superconsciousness–a mandate that it could use the sun, if it wanted, to try and make us be better stewards.
I feel guilty about the people of ChristChurch as I had prayed to the sun that perhaps it could disrupt or augment cell phone communications if this would help the bees survive. I’ve also asked the sun to prioritize the earth as an organism first, with its animals and plants and currents and insect world, and to consider us as an afterthought, but that I hope that we can be better people on this planet. I’ve also asked the superconsciousness to try to treat every sentient entity compassionately for the net benefit of all perceiving entities, with an equitable distribution of luck and joy.

Went to thepiratesbay.org (a mostly illegal Swedish file sharing site) to see what was up, but instead of their usual pirate ship logo, there was a notice from the U.S. Government saying they had seized the site for crimes against American commerce (see print screen above).
My first thought was of course — the U.S. invades and/or bombs whatever sovereign countries it feels like whenever it wants to, so naturally they’d have no qualms about illegally seizing a Swedish website. It made me smile — our pirate nation seizing Sweden’s pirate website. Aye, me mateys.
But today I went back to check and found the seizure notice gone and the original pirate ship back and it appeares the normal website came up. But as I checked around it seemed greatly diminished in its offerings.
So now I’m wondering — is it the real site, or is it actually our government pretending to be Swedish pirates in order to collect the names of downloaders?
As far as that goes, was the USA seizure notice real, or fake? I searched the web and found no news mention of a US seizure (which I think I would have were it real and legal) and learned the site was down most of Christmas week with the general populace believing it’s because of a dedicated denial of service (DDoS) attack by either the US government or US Corporations.
I did find this at nsaneforums.com: “In the final days of last month, US authorities targeted several sites they claimed were connected to the streaming of movies and TV shows {which} culminated in the apparent shutting down of 9 sites – TVShack.net, Movies-Links.TV, FilesPump.com, Now-Movies.com, PlanetMoviez.com, ThePirateCity.org, ZML.com, NinjaVideo.net and NinjaThis.net – although not in the conventional manner. Rather than rounding the operators up physically or threatening them with ruinous legal action, the US Government seized at least 7 of the domains instead, and pointed them to their own server which carried an ominous warning.”
Sounds like what I saw. Also last month, Italy shut down an Italian offshoot of PiratesBay inside the country and blocked all access to any PirateBays outside the country.
I believe the cyber wars have begun. But who knows, I mean besides The Shadow?

I used to weekly blog my horrifying harvest of news headlines, figuring folks would look at the facts and ponder and get my point; plus to me they were surreal found poems worthy of thought and time.
But I grew tired of passing on the negativity of political life and economic class warfare as we know it.
In proclaiming the darkness of our Corporatocracy existence, I created a moral dilemma — should I ignore the dark underbelly of life in America and try to spread hope and joy instead in an effort to light the path to better possibilities, or should I turn over the rocks and expose the parasitic CEOs and their slave politicians in hope I would damage the bad while enlightening others which would ultimately lead to good.
Still haven’t solved that one. I’ll probably continue working both sides of the street since that’s what I do.
But I can’t stop harvesting headlines and I’ve got this humungous pile of crap laced with humor and plain out and out oddness; and since I figure the humor of the surreal always helps no matter which path one walks, here’s some of the apolitical non-class warfare headlines that made my brain smile or jerked my oddness meter this past year.

Wikileaks “Could become as important a journalistic tool as the Freedom of Information Act” says Time Magazine.
The U.S. government does not want its citizens to be able to read about their government’s classified lies and crimes which have been posted on Wikileaks, so they’ve illegally shut down all the servers that take you there in an attempt to pre-censor what you read and think by controlling where you can go.
So I suggest you stop by Wikileaks and make up your own mind. It’s easy to reach – type 213.251.145.96. into your browser, click, and you’re there.
Because Wikileaks is using our government’s own official documents to expose U.S. lies and crimes from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and our murder of civilians in both countries, and the immoral treachery of crooked leaders. and the lying spying diplomats of all countries, many world governments are trying to shut down any access we the people have to Wikileak’s site in three ways: by flooding Wilileaks with dedicated denial of service attacks; by kicking them off any Corporate servers they can intimidate; and by knocking them off any online pay services which transfer donations to help keep Wikileaks going.
In an attendant character assassination, Sweden has accused Julian Assange, the leader of Wikileaks, of sex crimes for having consensual sex with two adult women while not wearing a condom. I know not wearing a condom is stupid in that it leads to unwanted pregnancies and sexual disease; but while it may be a moral crime, I’ve never heard anyone suggest it was an international crime worthy of arrest by Interpol.
The U.S. government forced Amazon to kick Wikileaks off their servers, and then forced Pal Pay to stop processing any financial donations for Wikileaks. Pay Pay’s excuse is their policies say, “our payment service cannot be used for any activities that encourage, promote, facilitate or instruct others to engage in illegal activity.” Funny thing is, this type of whistle blowing is not only legal under U.S. law but is encouraged as well with whistleblower rewards — and Wikileaks is not engaging or promoting illegal activity, but is rather exposing illegal activity by our own government.
It would appear our would-be masters are showing their Big Brother mentality a wee bit too openly. Watch it government dudes — you keep this up and we might realize you’re nothing more than thugs.
The U.S. and Turkey and Germany and France and Afghanistan and Russia are trying to shut down any possibility of their citizens visiting Wikileaks and reading how crooked and arrogant and illegal the governments are — governments that in most cases are supposed to be servants of the citizens, not their master repressors.
The State Department has just threatened the college students at Columbia that they’d better not mention anything about Wikileaks, especially on such social media as Face Book and Twitter, and that if they do, they’ll never ever get a job with the government. Is that extortion, or blackmail?
Looks like our leaders are finally coming out of the closet with their threats and heavy handed thuggery. These are the people we elected to serve us?

Back in the 1971, Daniel Ellsberg smuggled the truth about our lying involvement in the Vietnam War out of the Pentagon and gave the Pentagon Papers to the newspapers and helped shorten the war and saved lives, and by doing so became one of my heroes. I don’t know if Julian Assange is a good man or an arrogant asshole, but what he’s doing is moral and for the good of us all; it will save lives, maybe get a few of the political crooks and liars and murderers out of elected office and into jail.

If I printed fake dollars, it would be called counterfeiting and I’d be jailed; however when the government prints worthless dollars, they call it “quantitative easing” and pat themselves on the back.
The financial ministers of every country in the world (except ours) are telling the U.S. this is a very very bad very very stupid idea.

I wrote this just before our last election, then decided not to blog it because it depressed me and I wanted not to put more negative energy out over the airwaves, especially since the Tea-Party and Republicans are so full of it.
But then the election results depressed me even more, so I’m posting it now in hopes the truth will set me free. I mean, if I remain silent in the face of evil, I am complicit in evil, as the Germans discovered after they silently watched the Nazis haul the Jews and Gypsies away.
Besides, the two new used t-shirts I bought today at Unique Thrift for $1 each will make perfect graphics for this blog. I shuddered when I saw both t-shirts, picked them up and put them back three times because of their extremist right-wing fundamentalist Christian messages — messages I don’t really want seen on my chest as I walk around in public. But I finally figured maybe their being seen on me would undercut their function and emphasis their irony — so bought them anyway.
I believe the third line on the second t-shirt below which says HOSTAGE INIALATORS should read “HOSTAGE ANNIHILATORS. Grammar and correct spelling and such things as education and scientific fact often don’t appear to be major concerns of the far right. And I would think that by LAZARITH, they probably mean LAZARUS as well.
By their misspellings shall ye know them.

I’m really scared about this upcoming mid-term election. I’m very much afraid we’ll be returning to the totalitarian mindset of the Cheney-Bush regime where the religious right Christian fundamentalists, the war-mongering neocon killers of non-white civilians, and the flat-earthers think they can tell the rest of us what to think and what we can and cannot do. These people violate the Constitution and deny the very basic beliefs of the Christ they claim to worship. (I admire and respect Christ as a social activist, but I am not a Christian – if anything, I’m somewhere between a Buddhist and an animist).
America is about freedom of expression, freedom of goals, freedom from religion, freedom of speech (as long as the corporations get their daily kickbacks that is), and these folks are trying very hard to take this from us, to destroy independent thinking and herd us into the corporate consumer sheep pens where their one-sized narrow minds fit all and they no longer feel threatened by our superiority.
How can Christian and Republican and Tea Party bigots who judge folk by the color of their skin and the thickness of their wallets and who claim to worship Christ but deny his call to help those less fortunate than they claim to have the *right* way for us all to live, that theirs is the moral path? These are the same people who reward the hate speech of Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin with millions of daily dollars.
I mean we outnumber these rabble rousing morons, we’re better educated, we’re nicer, more moral and way more generous, so how did they get all this power? Simple – they vote on feelings and fear while we don’t vote at all.
“Anosognosic” is the medical term for people who are too stupid to know they are stupid. I suspect most of these folks above sincerely believe they are morally superior to progressives and liberals, even though it is we and not they who practice what Christ preached; however I do not include the hate mongers like Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh and Christine O’Donnell and Sharron Angle and Joe Miller and Bill O’Reilly and Rand Paul in this category because I believe they are neither sincere nor honest — they are smart people who have voluntarily sunk to lies and hate simply to steal power and make money. They are essentially evil, doing the devil’s work

Some may wonder where the anti-Tea Party anti-Republican anti-Corporate pro-vote pro-progressive pro-liberal blog of horrible headlines I’ve harvested is that I threatened to write yesterday.
Well I wrote it, read it, and didn’t like it. It was nasty. Vitriol. Clever too, which didn’t help. Decided why do I want to add to the bad vibes. Heck with it.
